ISO/IEC 17025 is an international standard (issued by (ISO) and the International Electrical and Electronics Council – IEC) to specify requirements to ensure the capacity of testing and calibration laboratories (called abbreviated as PTN). The ISO/IEC 17025 standard is considered an international standard to recognize the capabilities of testing and calibration laboratories, which play a very important role in commerce, production development and protecting customer interests. The latest version ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 was issued on November 29, 2017, replacing ISO/IEC 17025: 2005.
Currently, in Vietnam there are many organizations that accredit laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. However, the Office of Accreditation (BoA) under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) is one The unit has a long history of development and is currently the most prestigious in Vietnam. Laboratories accredited by the Bureau of Accreditation (BoA) will be reputable, creating trust and confidence with customers. The Institute of Measurement Technology and Standards has selected the Office of Accreditation (BoA) to evaluate and accredit measurement and calibration laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 standards.
On August 5, 2022, the Office of Accreditation (BoA) under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) established a team of experts to assess the capacity of the Institute of Measurement and Standardization Technology (IMTS) according to the Decision Decision No. 1258/QD-VPCNCL, evaluation period from August 10, 2022 – August 12, 2022.
The evaluation results of the Office of Accreditation (BoA) expert team recorded: the laboratories of the Institute of Measurement and Standards Technology with a team of professional staff and standard measuring equipment Measuring equipment is carefully invested in with high accuracy and modernity, meeting the scope of measurement capabilities according to the application for recognition.
